Watermark Resist Stamping ...and the winner!

Happy Wednesday! Good Morning. I have been missing in action for the past few days, sorry. But I am back now! ...and with a fabulous fun technique. This is a technique that I learned over the summer in my @Home with Claudine Hellmuth class. It is Watermark Resist Stamping. HERE is the original post from when I was in the class and my pages that I did using this technique.

Are you ready?!
Here is my completed card:

The TECHNIQUE!
I started with a white piece of Watercolor Paper and painted it using the Studio Paints. I mixed the above two colors to get my blue.

The next step is stamping. You want to stamp your image using the Watermark Resist pad from Ranger. Versamark can work, but with the Watermark Resist you get a clearer image. So, for my card, I stamped butterflies all over the background. I then took the Charcoal Black paint and put a little on my craft mat and then misted it with water to create a watercolor consistency. The last step is to brush your watered down paint over your background. The Watermark Resist will resist the paint and your stamped images show through!
This is such an easy process and it packs such a big punch! Look how vibrant the butterflies are... Just think of what all you can do using this technique. I would love to see what you do... post your links in the comment section!

Happy Creating!

and now for the winner! The lucky winner of the two 6x6 My Mind's Eye Paper Pads is....

  3. This is awesome! It reminds me of when I was younger - we would scribble on paper with neon colored crayons and then cover with black crayon - then scratch off patterns and designs to let the neon colors show through. So much fun!
