A little book about my Happy Place...

Happy Monday! ...and Happy July! I can't believe July is here! Today kicks off my guest design term over at Genuinely Jane Studios. They have an awesome store full of all kinds of goodies and then their signature product line: wood albums.

I am sharing my little Tag Book that I did using their Wooden Tag Album:

I started by painting the front and back of each page with my Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paint.

What is perfect about the tag book, is that 4x6 photos fit on it perfectly once you trim a bit of the sides. ...and that is what I did to decorate my album. I used pictures that I have taken of a park that I found and love to go to... This is my happy place, a place for me to have that quiet moment away from it all.
I used the book as a template to make some acetate pages. This is what I did my journaling on so you can still see my pictures.

I used lots of natural looking products for this... burlap, twine, canvas and Grungeboard.

Once I got my photos cut to the size and shape that I wanted, I used Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium Matte to adhere them. I LOVE this stuff... I love all her products from the Studio Line.

I love this quote from Henry David Thoreau and it was so perfect for the ending of my album, (which is the page after this.... )

Here is another acetate journaling page.

...and here is my bench. My place to get away from it all...

So I have this little album full of pictures of a place that is dear to me. A place that makes me happy. I am taking it to work with me to sit on my desk so when the day gets crazy or hectic and I just need to take a step back and breath... I will look at this and smile and think of the peace that my park beings me...

I look forward to spending the month with Genuinely Jane Studios and recommend you check out their store, blog, and the amazing design team she has too.
Happy Monday, Happy July!

...and Happy Creating!
