Sunday Scrapping

Happy Sunday... I am actually doing things a bit differently today. I am blogging as I create. Kind of capturing the ideas in my head. I am working on a project right now for Genuinely Jane Studios. I am really kind of excited about it. Lots of Distress Paint is going into this project. SNEAK PEAK:

I love all things paper crafting and altered art, but my passion is scrapbooking. I love creating layouts. So, while this is drying I am going to do a layout or two. I have so many scraps on my desk and in a pile on the floor right now, so I want to use all these to create a layout...

OK, I have my pictures selected. They are printing now. One of the BEST things I ever got for my studio was my Epson PictureMate. The ability to print photos as I scrapbook is like a freedom. THANK YOU Mom & Dad for this Christmas present!!! :)

Ummm... I told you I had a lot of scraps on my desk... Everything on this layout was a scrap! Except the 12 x 12 patterned paper I used as the base. (But it was laying on my desk...)

A little ink to start the layout. I used a spray ink I made with a Distress Ink Re-Inker and water. Then I just splattered the Glimmer Glaze on to the layout. Once dried, I started layering the papers.

...and this is what was created:

Very happy about how my layout turned out... the sad thing is, I still could probably make 10 more layouts with the scraps and embellishments on my table! Maybe it's time to clean. Well I am off to create a little more and maybe take a bubble bath.... Lazy Sunday before work tonight...

Happy Creating!
XOXO

Transparencies & Pocket Pages

Hello Lovelies! Today I want to share some layouts that I did this weekend. I actually got a WHOLE event scrapbooked! There is one layout I will not be able to share because it is for my article, Liberating Layouts, over at Unruly PaperArts. This month the theme is borders. I recommend jumping over there and see what everyone has created. My article will appear on March 7... Here is a sneak peak:

OK, I am done being a tease...
Here is my layout that I want to share today. It has several layers of transparencies and a little modeling paste too.

I started with a black and white striped piece of paper. My table had a stack of scrap pieces from transparencies I used on a recent mini-album that I created and I just started grabbing and layering.

Texture and multi-medium on my layouts is an addiction for me! I am always adding a little here or there... On this layout I used a Prima Stencil and Modeling Paste.
Here is a close up:

I layered more paper and added a chipboard letter for my title. The heart is covered in Glossy Accents.

The title is an introduction to this series of layouts. "I love these moments."
Moments spent with friends, hanging out and laughing... I am blessed.

One thing that I am really having fun with right now are all the different page protectors that are out there on the market. The two I use are We R Memory Keepers and American Craft Project Life.

Below is a layout I did using a Project Life Photo Pocket Page:

These pages are a lot of fun to create! To do my title I laid out 4 journaling cards and just added the paper (scraps work fabulous for these pocket pages!) and my title. Oh! and a little spray ink!

The journaling went on the back of this page along with the last of my photos.

Here is the back page, (I edited one photo out... like the journaling says, sometimes picture taking is not the greatest idea...). For the center row, I just used some pretty pink glitter paper.

Awhile back I found these Page Protectors at Hobby Lobby:

HOW FUN! I love them!

So to end this night out's layouts I did a little 5x7 layout:

Well I am off to create a little more. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday afternoon.
