...trying new things...

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing a layout I did using beeswax... yes, beeswax! I have seen it out there... and seen it used on projects, BUT I have never used it... until now!

I used a beautiful paper line from Kaiser Craft, Madame Boutique. I then pulled out one of my favorite new stamps from 100 Proof Press Big Fern Frond, and stamped the top half in various colors of Adirondack Ink I also stamped on my scraps and fussy cut to create an embellishment.

Now... for the beeswax!
Using a method I read about over at The Purple Mailbox, (LOVE LOVE LOVE this blog!)
I just used a glass bowl and melted it with my heat gun, and then just poured!

I really was pleased with how it turned out... though I will say, at first, I was a little uncertain...
...as you can see I placed pearls randomly throughout the layout.

I used a black pen and doodled around some of the wax drops...

Here is the accompanying layout:
I used the We R Memory Keepers system with some of my scraps to create this.

I truly recommend stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying new techniques and styles.

Happy Creating!
