Honeycomb & COLOR!!!

A fun layout full of Distress Paint, Glimmer Mist and 100 Proof Press!

Using my new Distress Paints, (and YES! I am addicted...) I created a colorful background.
I then used the Honeycomb Texture Background stamp and stamped all the way around my page.

The tag was made with Distress Paints, my Craft Mat, and Mini-Mister with water. LOVE LOVE LOVE these Distress Paints!
I colored some of my flowers and chipboard pieces with the Distress Paint. The design in the upper left of the photo is The Color Run logo. I imported it into my Silhouette Studio program and then cut it out with my Cameo.

Wishing you a creative Sunday Afternoon.

It's a Hop... A Hippo Hop! (100 Proof Press + Hydrangea Hippo)

Happy Tuesday! We made it through Monday and today we have an amazing hop for you! It's filled with inspiration and fabulous projects!
WELCOME to the....

If you have been hopping along, then you just came from CARO's blog.

...and now, here is my project:

I pulled out all my 100 Proof Press and Hydrangea Hippo goodies and just started playing.

I loved the lace that I had, but it was white.... so I mixed water and Distress Ink Reinker and dyed them:

I ended up using the dye mixture for a flower too. I just dropped the whole thing in there, then fished it out... I was very happy with how it turned out:
It is a Prima flower. After I dipped it I let it dry on its own and the color migrated to the edges. I just love how it looks.

Using my Cameo, I cut out my title and inked it up with Distress Paint and then stamped it with my 100 Proof Press stamp.

After I had everything on there, but before my pictures were down, I went back and sprayed it all with Heidi Swap Color Shine. ...and then painted it on to my title too.

Now hop on over to see what fabulous things that Candice has in store for you!
Make sure you leave comments on all the blogs... there are some amazing prizes being given away today!

Inspiration in the Strangest Places....

Happy Tuesday! Lets start with the winner from the 100 Proof Press & Genuinely Jane Studios Blog Hop... Kathleen White! Please email me your address so we can send you your prize!

On Sunday I was working out at the gym with some friends, and one of them had on these tennis shoes..
...I asked, "Please send me a picture of your shoe!" lol... I know he thought I was nuts! But sometimes you are just inspired by random things... in this case, Converse Sneakers!

So... I came home and pulled out some cardstock in Black, White, Gray, & Orange...
Did a little layering, some crinkling, and then some misting...
....and then there was some doodling...

This is what it all came together to be:

I stamped the white flowers using a large foam stamp by Donna Downy.

Here are some details:
A little Zva Creative Bling:

I worked my journaling into the doodling on the flowers:

Today I was looking at one of my favorite blogs, Purple Mailbox,  and she was announcing the latest Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge.. Birds & Feathers. It inspired my title, "Crazy Chicks".

Now here is a fun element...
My flowers are on a small rectangle of gray cardstock that is adhered with a brad. The last picture on this I wanted to cover because it just wasn't that great, but I didn't want to glue on to it...

So, it rotates down to reveal the picture.

Never stop looking for inspiration.. You can find it in the craziest places!

Happy Creating,
XOXO
Christine

100 Proof Press & GJS Blog HOP!

It's the weekend! ...and we are kicking it off with a mass amount of inspiration! Two fabulous companies have teamed up to bring to YOU a blog hop full of CREATIVITY & INSPIRATION, & lots and lots of prizes!!!
To start at the beginning go HERE!
Make sure you leave a little love on each artist's blog for a chance to win some amazing prizes!
Like this one:
or this cute stamp from 100 Proof Press:

So without further ado, here is my mini album I did using the Genuinely Jane Studio Picket Fence Album.

Oh My! I had so much fun with this little album... For the cover I started with painting the base...
Then using various Ranger Paint Dabbers I brushed lightly onto the album.

Now... the fun really begins! Using my Melting Pot, I melted UTEE...
I then poured it onto my album and stamped in to it using my 100 Proof Press "Verbena Flower Head"
**NOTE** When you do this, make sure you stamp into Versamark before the hot UTEE. This keeps your stamp from being stuck in the UTEE, (kind of like Pam and cooking!)

I then stamped on to the cover using the 100 Proof Press stamp, "Accounting Script" & Archival Ink.

The flowers on the cover were made by using plain Prima flowers and then stamping on them with various 100 Proof Press Stamps, then painted with Glimmer Glam:

The next page I painted with various Ranger Paint Dabbers again. I then stamped and embossed the "Music Lines" stamp from 100 Proof Press.
This page was stenciled and sprayed... then sprayed and inked... and then a little Prima paper and Prima flowers painted with some Distress Paint... and wha-la!

Now.. this page was fun too!
A little gesso, Perfect Pearls & Distress Re-Inkers in a Mini-Mister, and Paint!

I used a Prima Stencil and Claudine Hellmuth Gesso...
 ...and created a little dimension...

Once it dried I sprayed a custom mist on to it that I created by mixing water, Perfect Pearls, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Re-Inker..
I then added some Prima paper that was distressed and inked up and then stamped with one of my favorite 100 Proof Press Stamps, "2nd Largest Squiggle". I then stamped "Flower Face" and fussy cut... add a little bling and, once again, wha-la!

More Distress Paint, (I love this stuff)... My custom mist, Tim Holtz Alterations Die, and Prima goodness...
I covered the last piece in Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium and adhered some burlap...

I am so happy with my little mini album, I hope that you have been inspired and have learned a few more techniques to add to your arsenal. Now hop on over to Irit and see all the fabulousness that she has created....

Make sure you leave a comment on everyone's blog.. show a little love! ...and hop all the way through for a chance to win! I will be giving away some happies too.. so leave a comment and if you like what you see, follow me!

XOXO -Christine
