Blast from the Past

Today I have a layout to share that I did quite awhile ago... using a picture from quite a while ago!

Details....

Using two sheets of the same paper, I highlighted the words by using dimension.
"Delight" I cut out and distressed the edges and then pop dotted to the base paper.
"Laugh" I cut out of the base sheet and then, using pop dots, I adhered it to the back.
"Beautiful" is also pop dotted with a little ink and glimmer!
For "Happy" I ripped the corner off the extra sheet, stamped and inked it up and then adhered it to the base sheet.

Behind the picture I laid a mask down and sprayed it with various colors of Glimmer Mist.

After adding my flowers, I drew swirl lines and adhered my colored bling along each line.
The center of the flowers I used white quilling paper and then inked the top with a stamp pad.

Happy Creating!

An ATC Challenge!

Happy Day!
Today I have an ATC to share with you that I did for the challenge going on over at Fun with ATC's!
They are celebrating their 3rd birthday! ...so the theme is Celebrate!
What better way to celebrate than with a tea party!
Here is my ATC I created with stamps by 100 Proof Press.
I created the foundation out of Mirror Paper by Tim Holtz and Alcohol Inks.
I stamped on to it with Black Archival Ink. I used the following stamps from 100 Proof Press.

On both the ATC and the Tag I stamped the Squiggle and then traced it with Enamel Accents from Ranger. Love this product!

I then took my ATC and turned it into a tag....

Lots of fun techniques were used... I stamped the background with the Huge Zodiac Chart and the Squiggle. I added some ribbon and staples.

To get my staples to match I used the Alcohol Ink on them too...

Make sure you head to Fun with ATC's and check out the challenge... there is also a fun blog hop going on and one of the stops is 100 Proof Press!

Happy Creating!

A Shot of Creativity!

Happy Weekend! I hope you all are finding time for a little creating this weekend... With all the CHA posts and sneak peaks of new products coming, its hard to not want to create... or shop!

Here is a layout that I did capturing memories from my 28th birthday...
I used papers from Heidi Swapp's No Limits line.

As you can see from below, there is lots of dimension to this layout. I used several different size pop dots so I could really layer my embellishments.

Using the Silhouette Cameo, I cut my title. I then inked it up and embossed it.

Here is the accompanying layout that I did a while back...

...more to come... until next time, HAPPY CREATING!

Challenge Me Happy

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't."

Today I have a card to share that I did for a fun challenge going on over at Challenge Me Happy. It is a recipe challenge... your project must have the following ingredients:
1. quote
2. stamping
3. birds
4. arrows
5. brads
Here is my card:

Look close at the music notes... notice anything?
They are backwards!
This stamp is from Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz - Seasonal Reflections stamp set. They are made to do some pretty neat "reverse" stamping techniques, but I thought backwards would be perfect for this card.

When I read that one ingredient had to be a bird, I knew just the stamp I wanted to use.... My nee Flourish Bird, Large - from 100 Proof Press. I love this bird! I added some Stickles, (in Crystal), to really make in sparkle!

The arrows used for journaling were made using a stamp from Cocoa Daisy.

Distress Inks & Archival Ink is what I used on this card.

My card was inspired by a song from Shinedown, "Her Name is Alice".

There is lots of stamping & on this card. I created this one night this week when I couldn't sleep. You know when you are lying there, but your mind is going a mile a minute and you just have get up and do something....?

Paper Patch Crafts Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
Today I have a fun card that I created for a challenge going on over at Paper Patch Crafts Facebook Page. Here is the card that I created:
This card really makes me smile. I love the little zebra, he is so cute. When I saw the stamp I just had to have it! I used paper from Basic Grey, from the Lauderdale Collection. It is an older collection, but one I enjoy working with because of the bright colors and fun patterns

It was a sketch challenge. To create a card based on the Page Maps sketch below.

Hope your week is going well. See you tomorrow!

part two....

Happy Monday!

Here is a layout that goes with the layout posted yesterday. I used the same paper line, Teresa Collins Vintage Finds.
I cut my title out using my Silhouette Cameo. I used a pattern paper from the line and then inked it up with Distress Inks to match my layout.
A little bling and some Bingo Cards complete the layout.

I wish you a very happy week full of happiness, inspiration, & creativity!

A little Gesso... and paint!

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a layout that I created last weekend.

I used paper and embellishments from Teresa Collins Vintage Finds.

DETAILS:
I started with Gesso and paint from Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Line. Mixing up a couple of colors into the Gesso to make my purple Gesso. I laid a brick stencil down (from Crafter's Workshop) and painted on my Gesso.

One tool I am absolutely lost without is my Tiny Attacher from Tim Holtz. I love love love this tool. Here I used it to create the "x"s going up the side of the picture.

One thing that I have notice is that so many lines are including these little Bingo Cards. I have so many pieces of paper that have them on there, and yet... have never really used them. One thing I did, above, is fold it up and then attached it to my layout. I really like the look of it and I found that the Bingo Cards are fun to use to add to your layout!

I went through the background and circled little phrases here and there that I like.

After painting on my brick pattern, I used my paint brush and very lightly brushed a thin layer of Gesso on to the side of my layout.

I hope you have a wonderful day and are able to find a little time to create too!

so very excited to share....

Happy New Year!
I am very excited to share some fabulous news with you today...
I was chosen to be apart of the 100 Proof Press Design Team!
I love this company and their stamps are high quality and unique.
HERE is their website... go check it out and be inspired!

Today I have a card that I did using the "Flourish Bird, Large" stamp. I fell in love with this bird when I saw it!
I used the Prima Marketing 6x6 paper pack: Madeline. The black flourishes you see in the background is from the 100 Proof Press Stamp, 2nd Largest Squiggle. (...and I fell in love with this squiggle too! Who doesn't just love a beautiful swirly flourish stamp?)
The Striped Background was created using a gold ink pad and a Hero Arts Background Stamp.

Wishing everyone a very Happy and Creative New Year.

Hugs,
Christine
