Hello.. it has been a while. I have been busy scrapping, relaxing in the sun, and re-arranging my studio. I now have THREE tables that I can cover up with my creativity!!! I have a really cute project for you today. I am very excited. I took a piece of a KaiserCraft album, Star Designer Album, and turned it into a magnet to do list for my refrigerator. The best part about this project... is it was so simple, but so beautiful! I painted the board with my Espresso Paint Dabber. I "dabbed" the dabber so I could get some texture to my paint. I then adhered a 4"x5" piece of paper, the chipboard letters, and bling! I tied ribbon to the holes on the side where the binder rings would normally go. I just love my finish product! ...and to think it started out looking like this...

Prima Layout - Christmas 2009
Here is the layout that I just completed tonight. It was wonderful! I have been waiting til late to scrapbook, here lately... but tonight I came home from work and just went straight to my studio... I am very happy with how it turned out... and I have a list of ideas that I am going to work on this coming weekend. This layout was based of a sketch from Prima's Blog...
My title, "Joys" I drew with my Copic Markers and then cut out... I then inked the edges & sprayed with Old Lace Glimmer Mist.

Here is my journaling telling about some things that make Christmas Morning special to us... and our little traditions....
I did a huge grouping of Prima Flowers and some bling on the sides...
The true joy of Christmas morning... Baby Jesus and the gift He would give us all...
not to tease... well maybe...
I have a ton of ideas going through this head of mine... I am creating away and will be posting soon...

Kind Of, Sort Of, PUBLISHED!!!
So, do you see that second name in the first column... yes, that one.... Christine Hatchell... THAT'S ME!!! And I had no clue I was in here!!! I was laying out, flipping through some older scrapbooking magazines and I saw something that looked familiar... wait! Christine... Christine Hatchell... and then the squealing started! I was on the phone with my husband, he could not understand me... I had to calm down to explain what the excitement was all about... ME! So here is the listing... I had to "document" it because it is just too cool! Now the goal is to get them to publish some of my work!!!
I have been emailing Creating Keepsakes some of my work to the open call for the Reader's Gallery... I had no idea that I caught their eye. WOW!!! YIPPPEEE!

Getting Inked!
This is a layout I did recently for a sketch contest on Paper Patch Crafts. This is my husband getting a tattoo... I used my Silhouette to cut out the letters and the embellishment on the right, (which is a replica of his tattoo). Journaling was important on this layout and I wanted to make it masculine.
More layouts to come on this event... I took several pictures! and... if I can ever get the courage maybe layouts of me getting one too!!!

more cards....
Here are some cards that I made the other day... This first one is really cool! I used the metal 4 x 12 strips from Quickutz and one of Tim Holtz's Alterations Embossing Folders. I then used my mini-misters and sprayed with Alcohol Inks... I LOVE how it turned out....
Here is a card I made for Paper Patch Crafts on Facebook. I used Delovely from Cosmo Cricket. The butterfly I printed from my Silhouette program and then colored in with my Copic markers.
This is the inside of the butterfly card. I used a Unity stamp for my sentiment...

The Mad Inker strikes again! with her Silhouette!
I had fun! That is the best sentence to describe working on the layout below... I had lots & lots of fun! Just about everything on this layout is inked... I inked to my heart's content! But I would have to say that my "pride & joy" on this layout is my bird & bird cage... Does it look familiar? Well, for you Tim Holtz fans, you should know right away... It is his Bird Cage Alterations die... except... look how BIG it is... This is a 12 x 12 layout... how in the world... well, The Silhouette helped me out a bit!!!! What do you think???
Here is a close up... that is one reason I just love my Silhouette! a Quick overview... I took my die & cut out the design in black paper. I scanned it into my Silhouette program and got the outline and now I can make this bird cage any size I want! Amazing...
I cut this bird cage out of plain beige cardstock... Techniques used on the bird cage & on the layout are....
The Bird cage:
I stamped with Paint Dabbers, I embossed with clear embossing to make a resist. I embossed with brown embossing powder, stamping multiple images in different colors, Distress Inks & Ink blending tool.....
The Bird:
Stamping & inking with Distressed Inks, and the spraying with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.
I used Alcohol Inks on small washers for the bottom of the bird cage....
The Bright Purple Bling you see was pearl. But then I introduced it to my Alcohol Ink....
The ribbon was white... it met Glimmer Mist.
So, stamping, inking, painting, cutting.. what's not to love....
Cards
Hello! It is so good to be back... I finally decided to give in and just go buy another camera cord! I know I will find mine now... Here are some cards that I wanted to share that I made recently...
Here is the front of the first card... I used Hero Art stamps. I used several different colors to ink the background stamp. I love this technique! The only thing you need to remember is to just start with your lightest color first and work your way to the darker/bolder colors... It just adds a whole new look to your stamping. The scallop flower was also inked this way. I then cut out the stamp and used pop dots to adhere it to the card. I hung a Tim Holtz idea-ology charm off a brad for a little embellishment and a then a ribbon completes the look!
I LOVE this tree stamp! It is a stamp from Unity! I LOVE their stamps just as much as I LOVE Hero Arts! I stamped the tree on the inside of the card in a light green. I was still able to write & sign my card. Do you see the 2010 in the lower right corner? I date all my cards like this for birthdays, holidays, etc... These cards that I am showcasing were the Mother's Day cards that I made this year...

Here is the second card... I used the Hero Arts Shadow Ink for this card... let me just say, TOO COOL! I used an Unity Stamps set for the flowers in the background... and now for the heart... It was made with.... drum roll....Chip Art Tools!!! It is the first time I have used and alphabet stamp with it, and it is just cool! I started with plain chipboard and cut my heart out... I then "stamped" the letters and flowers on to it. Inked it all up and then went back and detailed the flowers with my Momento markers...
Do you see the indentations from the stamping of the chipboard? This is ChipArt... Once again, a little stamping on the inside and the year....
...and a little bit more....
~ I am getting to "create" a Copic Basics class to teach! I am very excited. I was certified by Copic in March and this will be my first opportunity to pass it on... YIPPPEE....
~My next project to post is really neat... as a teaser: The Silhouette, Inking, & Tim Holtz Alteration Die.... curious?
